Screening for contaminants such as lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury that can carry over from synthesis. Reported against defined safety limits.
Bacterial endotoxin testing (LAL), relevant to anything intended for injection in research settings. Reported in EU/mg against a threshold.
Confirmation that the compound is what the label says, usually by mass spectrometry. Distinguishes the correct peptide from a mislabeled or substituted one.
Testing for microbial contamination. Most relevant for lyophilized products and reconstitution workflows in a research context.
An overall check that the batch conforms to its specification across the categories above, tying the individual reports together for a given lot.
